Latest News:

Two weekends, three festivals; Chicago, here we come!

Irish American Heritage Festival

We're thrilled to be sharing the bill with Eileen Ivers, the High Kings, and many more talented artists and bands at the 31st annual Irish American Heritage Festival. We'll be on the 5th Province Stage from 7 until 8:30 pm on Sunday, July 10.

The folks from the Irish American Heritage Center will be bringing you "three days of the finest Irish and American music, dance, food, cultural exhibits, import stores, and children's activities" beginning TODAY, Friday, July 8, and continuing through Sunday, July 10.

Stop by after our set and say "Hi!" We can't wait to see you!

Evanston Ethnic Arts Festival

We'll be back in Chicagoland on Saturday, July 16, for our second appearance at the Evanston Ethnic Arts Festival (also in its 31st year!). Find us on the Music Stage in Dawes Park on the shores of Lake Michigan at 3:45 pm and enjoy music, food, crafts, children's activities, and shopping from around the globe while celebrating the cultural diversity that makes our country special.

Woodstock Folk Festival

The magic number for us this month seems to be "31" because it's also the 31st annual Woodstock Folk Festival and we'll be there on Sunday, July 17. It all begins at Noon and wraps up at 6 pm and we'll be joined by esteemend folk artists Small Potatoes, Tret Fure, The Reverend Robert B. Jones, the Heather Pierson Acoustic Trio, Woody Pines, Villa Palagonia, and Bill Staines. We're on at 5 pm and we'll all be performing en masse for the All-Sing Finale at 5:40 pm. Join the fun at Woodstock Square in historic Woodstock, Illinois.

Coming up . . .

We love visiting the North Shore (of Lake Superior) on a hot August day and we'll bet you do too! You can come up with us on Friday, August 12, for Fridays in the Park at Thomas Owens Park in Two Harbors, Minnesota. Bring friends, your family, a blanket, lawn chairs, and a picnic basket or enjoy a burger or brat basket served by The Pub. We're kicking off our set at 7 pm.

The Irish Fair of Minnesota will be bringing craic, shenanigans, and all things Irish back to Harriet Island in Saint Paul, Friday through Sunday, August 12, 13, and 14. We'll be there again this year and we'll let you know soon when and where you can find us.

Join us for lunch in Saint Paul at the Landmark Center for Music in the Cafe on Wednesday, August 24, at Noon. Bring your lunch or enjoy something yummy from Anita's Cafe.

We're excited to be heading back to the Northeast South Dakota Celtic Faire & Games, and we'll be performing twice on Saturday, September 17. This year our pals The Northerly Gales and the Brian Boru Pipe Band are also on the bill. Road trip to Aberdeen anyone?

You can keep up with our gig schedule on our Facebook Events page and on our website calendar.

Have an amazing July! We hope to see you soon!

Thanks for all of your support,

Pete, Michelle, and Lojo

It's our final full-band show until March 2016! And there will be dancers!

We can't wait for this Saturday's concert with The Elders and we hope you'll be there with us to welcome one of our favorite bands back to the Twin Cities for a rare appearance. VIP tickets are sold out but there are general admission tickets available here. ($20 Advance / $22 Door).

The Elders is one of the best contemporary Celtic/Americana folk rock bands today! Based out of Kansas City, Missouri, they tour nationally and internationally and headline many festivals across North America. We've had the great pleasure of performing with them a number of times over the past 5 years at the Colorado Irish Festival and the Indy Irish Fest and we know you'll love them too!

And to make the night even more special, we've invited a talented troupe from the Rince na Chroi School of Irish Dance and some very special guests --- including our pal with the beats, Wolf Loescher --- to join us!

This is our final full-band show until our Ireland Tour in March 2016, and it's all happening this Saturday, November 14, at the Parkway Theater in south Minneapolis (next to Pepito's Restaurant). Doors at 7 pm / Concert 8 pm. Help us welcome The Elders with a FULL HOUSE!

Come say goodbye to 2015 with Pete and Lojo at Charlie's Irish Pub

Our last weekend of shows this year at Charlie's Irish Pub in Stillwater will feature the duo of Pete and Lojo. You can join us on Friday and Saturday, December 4 and 5, from 7:30 until 11:30 pm both nights.

Interested in coming to Ireland with us?

We've filled one bus and we just need 12 more "roadies" to fill a second for Ireland Tour in March 2016. If you've ever dreamed of seeing Ireland or going on the road with a band, this is your chance to do both! Contact Maria or Jean at Celtic Journeys today to sign up for the wait list.

Thanks for all your support! We are grateful!

The Elders are coming! Do you have your tickets?

A special concert not to be missed.

Greetings, Friends!

We're thrilled to be bringing The Elders back to the Twin Cities for a rare appearance in concert with us at the Parkway Theater, in Minneapolis (next to Pepito's Restaurant) on Saturday, November 14.

The Elders is one of the best contemporary Irish/Americana folk rock bands today! Based out of Kansas City, Missouri, they tour nationally and internationally and headline many festivals across North America. We've had the pleasure of performing with them a number of times over the past 5 years at the Colorado Irish Festival and the Indy Irish Fest. We heard many groups at these festivals and The Elders is definitely one of our favorites. They incorporate all the best aspects of Irish music into a contemporary sound and style all their own. They borrow from Americana, Folk, and rock in similar ways to the Hounds of Finn, and yet they don't sound like us, or we like them. This is a group we know our friends will love, not only for their music but also because they are excellent entertainers!

We encourage you to join us on Saturday, November 14 (7 pm Doors / 8 pm Concert). General admission tickets are available for just $20 in advance (via this linkor $22 at the door. The theater only seats 350, so you may want to reserve yours while they're still available. We have very few remaining VIP tickets available for $40, which grant you access to a pre-show reception at 6 pm with both bands (complimentary appetizers and cash bar), premium seating, and a gift bag with swag from both bands.

It's important to mention that due to busy work and personal schedules, this concert will be the only time you'll be able to catch the full Hounds' lineup of Lojo, Michelle, and Pete performing together until our Ireland Tour in March 2016. And, we'll also have some special guests performing with us!

If you have questions, feel free to contact us at: houndsoffinn@gmail.com. We look forward to seeing you on November 14!

SPLAT! Here's where you can find us:
Charlie's Irish Pub, Friday, October 9, 7:30 to 11:30 pm
Harvest Fest Stage, Lowell Park, Saturday, October 10, 11:30 am to 2 pm

We can't wait to host and perform with one of Celtic music's most renowned bands, The Elders on Saturday, November 14 at the Parkway Theater in Minneapolis. There are only a few VIP tickets left! General admission tickets are on sale too. The VIP package includes a 6 pm private pre-concert reception with The Elders and us (complimentary appetizers and a cash bar), premier concert seating, and a swag bag. Get your tickets here.

Special thanks to our sponsors: 2 Gingers Whiskey, Celtic Journeys, KFAI Radio; and our supporters: the Irish Fair of Minnesota and New Folk Records.

Only two seats left on the first bus for our Ireland Tour!

The first bus for our 10-day March 2016 tour through Eire has only two seats open and we're taking names for a possible second bus (we need 30 more "roadies" to make a go of that). Don't miss the bus and this rare opportunity to enjoy breathtaking scenery, historic sights, lots of music, craic, and more with us! All the details and the full itinerary are available here. Contact Maria or Jean at Celtic Journeys to register today.

Thank you, one and all!

You make what we do fun and we're grateful.
